Short stories as part of the literature play a significant role in portraying human lifestyle, including image disabilities. Studying portrayal disabled people becomes to consider need change illustration disabilities fiction. There are four short selected this study, namely “Cathedral” By Raymond Carver, “The Blind Man” by Guy de Maupassant, Kate Chopin and “A Man Who Had No Eyes” Benjamin MacKinlay Kantor. Applying disability theory proposed Tobin Siebers, textual analysis study found that characters portrayed weak, dependent, unproductive, other negative prejudice.
